Why we need to be KHUSYU'

 

Definition Khusyu' from Pejabat Mufti Wilayah persekutuan, there are several opinions from each scholars. From that on, we can see Khusyu is an important part in your prayer.

• Imam Ibn Qayyin al-Jauziyyah Rahimahullah said: "Khusyu' is steadfast of the heart when facing Allah SWT. with humility and humbleness."

• Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali Rahimahullah said: "The origin of Khusyu' comes from the softness of the heart, the calm and submissive state of one's heart."

• Imam Ibn Majah said: " The nature of khusyu' is gentleness, humility, peace of mind to Allah." The other parts of the body will follow in sincerity

The importance of  Khusyu' are:-

1. Way to gain rewards from the Almighty God
2. Will contributor factor for the acceptance of prayer
3. Helps to build a good mental personality
4. Makes prayer easier for a person
5. As a sign of obedience towards Oneness God
6. Give values to soul

How to be Khusyu' in worshipping the oneness Allah:-

1. Must start with complete wudhu' or tayammum first because wudhu is the starting point before performing prayer.
2. Fulfill the conditions for the acceptance if prayer (syarat sah solat).
3. Fulfill the pillars of prayer
4. Centre of focus.
5. Magnifying Allah (taste of Haibah).
6. Remembering death in your prayer and assuming this prayer was your last.
7. Pausing at the end of each verse. People cannot be rush in worshipping Allah SWT in order to get his blessings.
