Benefits of practicing correct "Amal"

 

Before we go deeper into the benefits of practicing correct amal, surely we have to know what is it.

From Islamic Markets, "Al-'Amal" literally work or activity. In technical, Al-'Amal is a value of Islamic society that stresses the need for hard work and action by human beings. The Quran glorifies work and condemns wasting of time in idleness and frivolities. All kinds of work must be beneficial to themselves and other human beings or good. Islam encourages us to do good deeds and obliges us to consider the needs of society as well.

The benefits of practicing correct Action/'Amal:-

1.Presenting the real image of Islam

In Islamic teachings, good amal is an important component for each Muslim such as charity, do good, look after the welfare of poor people, and especially fulfill the obligation as a servant to God. Those actions will show the real image of Islam in the most perfect way which is the bad and good actions will be weighed on the day of reckoning.

2.Showing sincerity to Allah SWT

عَنْ أَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ أَبِيْ حَفْصٍ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُوْلُ: إِنَّمَا اْلأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى. فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُوْلِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُوْلِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ لِدُنْيَا يُصِيْبُهَا أَوْ امْرَأَةٍ يَنْكِحُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ

Artinya : Dari Amirul Mu’minin, Abi Hafs Umar bin Al Khattab radhiallahuanhu, dia berkata, “Saya mendengar Rasulullah shallahu`alaihi wa sallam bersabda: Sesungguhnya setiap perbuatantergantung niatnya. Dan sesungguhnya setiap orang (akan dibalas) berdasarkan apa yang dia niatkan. Siapa yang hijrahnya karena (ingin mendapatkan keridhaan) Allah dan Rasul-Nya, maka hijrahnya kepada (keridhaan) Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Dan siapa yang hijrahnya karena menginginkan kehidupan yang layak di dunia atau karena wanita yang ingin dinikahinya maka hijrahnya (akan bernilai sebagaimana) yang dia niatkan. (HR. Bukhary)

Allah SWT loves his servants who are sincerely worshipping Him without any force. Those who did not practice a correct or true manner in doing amal may not be willing to do so in the first place.

3.To remember Allah in every single step

As we know, sometimes we will be lacked remembering Allah even more in the busy situation nowadays. Then, as a servant, we must put Allah first before we doing anything in our daily life. When we put Allah first, he could be our best shield ever whenever we are about to do bad deeds. Therefore, we should be grateful that Allah always there keeps us away from bad things.

4.Ask for repentance upon Allah everyday

Every people in this world are not perfect. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. Moreover, as a servant, we always to violate the prohibition of Allah SWT not as it already forbidden by Him. but Allah SAW is Ar-Rahman And Ar-Rahim.Therefore, Allah asks us to repentance each time we do sin and promises we do not want to do it again.

How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the Messenger is true and clear signs had come to them? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
